Grilled Turkey Burger With Greek Yogurt Topping is perfect, easy and super HEALTHY meal for the entire family. Tender juicy meat hugged with seasonal veggies in whole grain bun, topped with amazing light and delicious yogurt sauce makes this burger extra special and extra tasty - perfect for BBQ and backyard parties.
In my family, we all love a good burger. Juicy flavorful meat hugged in that soft sweet bun with crunchy veggies and yummy sauce pouring from aside when we take a bite. What's there not to love?!
But since we changed the eating habits we've all been dreaming about somewhat healthier burger in which we could enjoy and not worry about the bad cholesterol and all the other bad unhealthy stuff that comes with it. So some time ago I set myself on a mission to make a tasty and juicy entirely healthy burger. After some trial and error in recipe creation, I have perfected it and created THIS family's favorite grilled Turkey Burger With Greek Yogurt Topping served with seasonal veggies in whole grain bun. Now we enjoy burgers even on weekdays. Perfect!
To make this burger I used lean ground turkey meat. I mixed it with some breadcrumbs and added an egg. It's a quite classic thing to do when you're making a burger. I spiced the meat with some onion and garlic powder and added a bit of extra virgin olive oil for meat to be juicy and not to dry.
The thing that makes this burger special is the addition of soy sauce which added this nice rich salty aroma. Ok and now confession time.
I'm not the only one responsible for the creation of this fantastic recipe. My hubby helped me a little with getting this burger to taste so amazing. He actually led me to discover this secret ingredient that made this turkey burger taste so good - sparkling water. YES! Sparkling mineral water softened and puffed the meat making it so soft and so juicy and so perfect.
I usually serve this turkey burger on a whole grain bun with seasonal veggies. Lettuce and red cabbage and onion added such a nice freshness and crunchiness to this amazing burger - but you can use regular bun and veggies you like and prefer. Also instead of using full-fat mayonnaise as a condiment, I made this light and flavorful Greek yogurt sauce to which I added a bit of mustard and aromatic dill. That yogurt sauce uplifted the whole burger taste to a new level of deliciousness. That my friends don't skip. It's super tasty and believe me super good with this burger.
This Turkey Burger With Greek Yogurt Topping is perfect for backyard grilling and weekends, parties and when having a guests but it's also super simple recipe to make during weekdays as a family meal. We do love to grill during weekdays. Soy Marinated Chicken Skewers and this delicious burger are our favorites.
No matter how many times I've already prepared this Grilled Turkey Burger With Greek Yogurt Topping at home, every time my husband and I take our first bite, we are so amazed by its flavor. I'm sure this Grilled Turkey Burger With Greek Yogurt Topping will evoke the same feelings in you as well.
Enjoy!
