MY 110 POUNDS WEIGHT LOSS STORY
In summer 2014. I was literally on an edge, emotionally and physically. I had a very stressful job, unhealthy lifestyle and eating habits that almost led me to total disaster. I was obese, unhappy and physically sick. I needed to change my life FAST or I knew I’ll end up sick for life.
I decided it’s time to change my life. I wanted to be healthier and free but in same time I didn’t want to go trough yet another diet. I also wanted to set an example to my boy so he could have healthier life and better future. I began educating myself and working on new future me.
I’ve started eating REAL, WHOLE FOODS and give up all the processed meat, added unhealthy refined sugars, store-bought food and anything processed. It was pretty drastic change for me at that time but it was the only way to get my life back. I began to view food as nourishment. I learned to receive the gift food had to give me, rather than rejecting it. Also I started WALKING, doing yoga, and lead more active lifestyle.
In just six months, I restored back my energy and I started feeling amazing. Also, I’ve lost some weight which restored back my confidence. Over period of 1.5 year I’ve lost 110 POUNDS (50 kg / 7.8 STONES). But even bigger accomplishment for me was complete lifestyle change and FREEDOM.
The relationship I have with food now is a joy! I have ditched diets for good and there is so much FREEDOM in that. I’m HEALTHIER and truly HAPPIER person today. I feel great! This new healthy lifestyle really healed me.
MY JOURNEY TO HEALTHY & HAPPY
I’ve learned so much on my healthy journey. Since I couldn’t stop talking about it, my husband convinced me to start blogging and sharing all this information. That’s how I started writing this blog. On that journey I discovered yet another passion – helping others finding same freedom and happiness. So I decided to become holistic health coach.
Healthy eating is absolutely not about dieting and starvation, It’s about embracing a healthy way of life. My mission is to promote GOOD HEALTH with WHOLE FOODS and ACTIVE LIFE.
Recipes I share on my blog are very classic type that I tweak to include more nutritious, wholesome ingredients, reduce fat or use better fats and sugar alternatives. With every recipe I try to improve the nutritional value of the meal without compromising the taste.
In my posts you will also find info about nutritional and health benefits of the ingredients included in recipes. I write all that to encourage you to want to learn more about the nutritional value of the food you are eating, to be informed and to encourage you to think about what food you eat.
