Hi, I'm Natalie Knezic, a nutrition coach, UK-based recipe developer and food blogger, and owner of Natalie's Health. I'm passionate about healthy food and helping others to live healthier joyful lives.
As a nutrition coach and weight loss specialist, I work with people who struggle to implement difficult diet and lifestyle changes recommended by their doctors and empower people to take charge of their well-being by changing up their daily routines and habits.
My health issues were the reason I studied and qualified as a nutrition coach. I transformed my own health with nutrition, and I have also seen incredible results with my clients. For me, health coaching is so much more than a job—it's a calling. And Natalie's Health place, where I can express my creativity and passion for food.
I'm a healthy lifestyler on a mission to help people rediscover the joy of eating real food.
I also write articles about a healthy lifestyle, and how to achieve the healthiest, happiest life through food, activity, and mind-body balance. My articles have been featured on Greatist, Pure Wow, Shape, Men's Fitness, Mashed, The Huffington Post, and ELLE Magazine.
My aim is to help people make long-term improvements to their health. Health is about being happy and having the energy to enjoy life. Furthermore, eating healthy doesn't mean food has to be tasteless or boring. I believe that changing eating habits is a lifestyle choice and not simply a quick-fix diet. I am passionate about sharing with others how rewarding it is to live healthily and feel like you are really thriving, not just surviving. I want you to be the best version of yourself.
Healthy eating is absolutely not about dieting and starvation, It's about embracing a healthy way of life. My mission is to promote GOOD HEALTH with WHOLE FOODS and ACTIVE LIFE.
My weight-loss story
It was summer 2014, and I was emotionally and physically on the edge. At that time I weighed 260 pounds (120kg). I was obese, unhappy, and felt sick. My stressful job, unhealthy lifestyle habits, and complete neglect of health almost completely ruined my life. I had serious back and knee pain because of my weight. I could barely move. My blood pressure was high and my heart under pressure.
When I looked myself in the mirror I saw a future that was not bright and happy. I got frightened and scared for my health. That's why literally overnight I decided to go for a change for the sake of my health, and the future of my family.
I wanted to be healthier and free, but I didn't want to go through yet another diet. I began educating myself and working on a new me.
The first thing I did, I ditched all the unhealthy stuff - processed foods, sugars, and sweets, sugary drinks, and sodas. It was a pretty drastic change for me at that time, but it was the only way. Soon I began to view food as nourishment. My perspective toward foods changed. I learned to receive the gift food had to give me. Also, I started exercising regularly. Nothing much, simple walking, and doing yoga.
In just a few months, I restored my energy, and I started feeling amazing. Also, I've lost some weight, which restored back my confidence.
In 18 months, I've lost 110 pounds (50 kg / 7.8 stones). But even a bigger accomplishment for me was complete lifestyle change and FREEDOM.
The relationship I have with food now is a real joy! I have ditched diets for good, and there is so much FREEDOM in that. I'm a healthier and genuinely happier person. I feel energized and great! Eating healthy wholesome food really healed me.
My wellness jurney
I've learned so much on my healthy journey. I've read numerous books, took courses, and read so many articles. I was also documenting all my meals and recipes in a journal. My excitement was huge and my husband recognized that as my new passion. He convinced me to start blogging and share recipes and all I discovered with the world.
On this amazing journey, I discovered yet another passion - helping others finding the same freedom and happiness as I did, so I enrolled to study to become a certified health coach. In past years as a health and wellness expert, I've organized many trainings, and been a guest on inspirational breakfasts and other events giving advice on healthy eating and a healthy lifestyle.
