Flavorful and dazzling, Raspberry Peach Ginger Slushie is easy summer refreshment that will power you up with vitamins. Smashed summer fruits with the addition of aromatic ginger is something that will delight you and the kids. This slushie is sweet but made refined sugar-free and super HEALTHY. A must try this summer.
My freezer is packed full of summer fruits - sweet cherries, sour cherries, amazing blueberries, and beautiful raspberries. I filled it up as a some kinda squirrel preparing for a long winter. My mom was at my place a few days ago. She made an interesting comment regarding my freezer and content in it. She said: "But hun, you don't have any meat in that freezer. Only fruits and veggies." Made me laugh so loud. Who needs meat, mom. :P
Anyway, I like to grab some frozen fruits when temperatures are so hot outside (+95F). I love to nibble while sitting at my desk and working. But I have very sensitive teeth so that experience is not most pleasant sometimes.
That's how I got this idea, to make myself refreshing slushie. Not a standard fruit smoothie made with milk but frozen treat/drink I can slurp through the straw or eat with the teaspoon. Since peaches and raspberries are totally in season now, I decided to go with that combo. Raspberry Peach Ginger Slushie came out to be absolute BLAST!
I know slushies are usually loaded with added sugars. But not this one. I used sweet ripe peaches and added just a bit of maple syrup to sweeten up slushie a little. This Raspberry Peach Ginger is filled with beautiful all NATURAL ingredients - well mostly fruits - what makes him immune boosting goody. I enriched this slushie with powerful super spice - GINGER that gave this slushie amazing aroma.. and a bit spiciness.
This is one of those desserts/frozen treats that kids absolutely LOVE. Given that homemade slushies, like this one, are so much HEALTHIER than store bought stuff, ice creams, not to mention candies, I'm totally happy to have my kiddo enjoy in this one as much as he likes. This Raspberry Peach Ginger is something that we all need this summer.
Enjoy!
