    Motivation Monday #9

    Published: May 8, 2017 · Updated: Jul 24, 2017 by Natalie · 2 Comments

Hi, guys! Happy new week to you all. ?

It's been awhile since I posted new things on my Motivation Monday board. Today I feel somehow inspired, and I thought, well why not writing you a few lines on what's going on in my life, how was my week... AND of course give you guys some inspiration to start the new week in a positive way. Inspired and happy. ?

How did you spend your weekend? Do you feel rested and ready for everything that awaits you this week?

My weekend was GREAT! My husband and I, we were at the wedding this Saturday, celebrating love and happiness with our closest family. We are not big fans of huge weddings, but this invitation we couldn't refuse. In Croatia, weddings are usually very LARGE and very LOUD. There's a lot of drinking, eating and dancing going on.

Since I'm a healthy eater whenever I'm invited to such parties, I struggle with the choice of food that is offered to me there. Usually, it's only an unhealthy food, like deep fried meat, fried potatoes, red meat (that I don't eat), and LOTS of sugary desserts.

Such gatherings and parties are always a CHALLENGE to me - in the sense of finding something I can eat, rather than a PROBLEM - in the sense of being able to withstand myself from eating all that unhealthy foods, cakes, and desserts.

That Saturday, among all that food, I still managed to find something for me to eat. I wasn't left hungry, not a bit.

While others were feasting on fried meat and cakes, I chose HEALTHIER options - white meat, vegetables, and salads. There was also a huge fresh fruit buffet, so I nibbled bananas, kiwis, honeydew and dried fruits throughout the evening. I was filled with energy, danced a lot and had really amazing time.

This form of self-discipline (how to resist unhealthy food that is offered to you), and self-thinking (among all those food, what foods to choose that is healthier for me) didn't come to me overnight. It took me some time to train my brain to stop wishing for unhealthy food and start desiring healthy one. On that journey, it's crucial to have clearly defined GOAL on what you want to achieve. Then you just need to make DECISION and start doing it! Small steps. Every day, little by little.

LEARN about the food you eat. LISTEN to your body. MAKE healthier choices.

Once your body achieve a balance, it will begin to reject unhealthy foods by his own. The craving for the unhealthy food will slowly turn into love for healthy and fresh foods.

I believe that many of you who just started with a healthy lifestyle, still struggle with this. It's still hard for you to control yourself next to a table full of "bad habits." I totally understand you. I was there, remember?! Just think positive. Create a POSITIVE image of your body in your mind. Visualize what you want to achieve >> a HAPPIER HEALTHIER YOU! ?

Be committed to be a better person today.... Better thoughts. Better decisions. Better actions. Be better you, for you!

And be completely REAL. You do not need to be PERFECT. Just be better than you were yesterday!

Hugs and kisses. See you next Monday!

Until then, write to me in comments or by email. I loveeee connecting! ❤️

    Xoxo,
