Energizing Blueberry Lime Chia Fresca is perfect refreshment for hot Summer days. It's loaded with HEALTHY stuff - heart-healthy omega-3, plant-based proteins, vitamins and powerful antioxidants. It's ALL NATURAL and refined SUGAR-FREE.
The summer is (officially) 20 days away, but it feels like summer already came. Temperatures are pretty high here. I don't really mind that a bit, to be honest. I like the sun, and the hot weather, and the vacations (thank God for that!).
Can't wait to pack my snacks and lay on the beach all day just relaxing away from all the fuss. As long as there's plenty of fresh fruits for refreshing smoothies, and bananas for cooling banana nice-creams, enough teeth-freezing water for the refreshing... and of course air conditioner, I'm ALL GOOD! Bring on the summer!
Considering fast growing high temperatures, today I've decided to share my thoughts on the importance of hydration during the summer - in fact, on the importance of hydration in general - and share with you one cool idea how to achieve optimal hydration during the day with refreshing energizing all natural drink - Chia Fresca.
Chia Fresca is refreshing energy drink rich in nutrients made with all natural ingredients. To make Chia Fresca, all you need is filtered water and some chia seeds. Yup, that simple. Chia seeds are rich in omega-3 fatty acids - heart-healthy fats, fibers, and plant-based proteins. That makes Chia Fresca HEALTHY, nutritious and powerful energy drink that provides energy.
To make plain Chia Fresca more interesting, and flavorful, I enriched it with fresh fruits syrup made of amazing, antioxidant rich blueberries. Not only Blueberry Lime Chia Fresca is energizing and refreshing, but also it's sweet and delicious tasting. AND it's made without refined sugars. All natural ingredients. It's perfect summertime drink! And kids love it too.
But before I give you the recipe for this amazing Blueberry Lime Chia Fresca, let's talk about body HYDRATION for a bit. Why is so important to drink water every day!? ... Biology class, here we go. ;)
Water makes up to 70% of our bodies and participates in all of our body functions. Besides oxygen, water is necessary for living. Water helps removing toxins from our body, it controls body temperature, heart rate, blood pressure, and helps maintain a healthy metabolism. Depending on how well we hydrate our body, that's how healthy we are in life.
Recommended and optimal daily water intake would be around eight 8-ounce glasses, which equals about 2 liters, or half a gallon. If we systematically drink less water than our body needs, we bring our body in the state of dehydration. Most people suffer from some of the symptoms of dehydration every day. The most are not even aware at all. Dizziness, headache, fatigue and weakness, decreased urine output, dark urine, dry mouth and thick slime, muscle cramps, dry skin, digestive and heartburn problems ... These can be the signs of DEHYDRATION. And the problem can be easily solved with only few glass of water.
Recently I asked my followers how much water (fluids) they drink during a day and I got some pretty interesting answers. I learned that many, same as me, tend to FORGET to drink water. They simply don't feel the need. Staying well hydrated is a challenge for them, and for me as well.
That's why I decided to share one amazing discovery that saved me (and still saves me) from complete dehydration. It's my Ulla - Hydration Reminder .
Ulla - Hydration Reminder is a smart device that reminds you to drink MORE water!!!
You can attach Ulla to any bottle, glass or mug from with you usually drink your water (or any other drink). Ulla has stretchy rubber that fits on all bottle sizes.
Once you put Ulla onto your favorite water bottle, Ulla will activate, and it will discreetly remind you every half of our to take a sip. I say discreetly because Ulla doesn't produce any sounds or vibrations, which is great for offices and crowded places. It just BLINKS, and so attracting your attention. And she will draw your attention. Trust me. No worries. Just put the bottle somewhere near your eyesight, like working desk near laptop your screen.
But that's not all. Ulla has a built-in smart motion sensor so if you're not around, she will not be active. But as soon as you show up she will know and activate itself. Isn't Ulla GREAT or what!
You can find out more about how Ulla works HERE.
I've been using Ulla for more than a year now. It really helped me a lot with my issues with hydration. I LOVE my Ulla, and I know you'll love it too.
