This Iced Mocha Latte is the perfect morning drink. It's smooth, bold and full of dark chocolate flavor. Super refreshing with a caffeine boost. Learn how to make this easy iced coffee drink at home.
Brew your favorite coffee. If you don't have cold-brew coffee prepared, brew the coffee. If you're using instant or espresso, make one. Leave coffee to cool.
Prepare chocolate syrup. Boil the water. Place cacao powder and maca powder (if using) in a small cup. Add hot water, two tablespoons should be enough. Mix using the spoon or small whisk.
Add in sweetener and mix until it disolves completely. Chocolate syrup should be smooth without the lumps.
Assemble Iced Mocha Latte. Take a tall glass and add ice cubes. Pour cooled coffee over the ice. Add in chocolate syrup and milk. Stir to combine.
Serve and enyoj!
Notes
As a measure, I used a US cup (240ml). Substitutions
You can substitute almond milk with dairy or any other non-dairy milk - organic soy milk, cashew milk, or oat milk. Note: coconut milk might change overall flavor, so I don't recommend it.
You can substitute maple syrup and use honey. Make sure honey is in liquid form. See "Sweetener recommendation" for more options.
You can use any type of coffee here: regular black, espresso, instant coffee.
Substitute coffee with 2 shots of espresso in the recipe.
Make it keto. Use unsweetened almond milk and low-carb/keto sweetener. Add 1 teaspoon of MCD oil to the chocolate syrup mixture.
