Energizing Blueberry Lime Chia Fresca full of HEALTHY all natural ingredients. Refreshing and sweet but made rafined sugar-free. Vegan, gluten-free and delicious.
Put water in a large pitcher or shaker bottle. Add chia seeds and stir or shake. Allow chia seeds to soak for 10-15 minutes. Give it a good shake or stir occasionally. Refrigerate.
To make blueberry syrup, mix blueberries in a blender. Add honey or syrup. Adjust sweetness to taste.
Place 2 tablespoons of blueberry syrup in the glass and pour the well-chilled chia mixture.
Add sliced lime and some ice cubes (if desired).
Notes
As a measure, I used US cup (240ml). Use freshly made blueberry syrup immediately - it can't stand long. Chia Fresca (without syrup) can stand in the fridge for a few days. Nutrition table is calculated according to used 1 teaspoon of raw honey.
