This Strawberry Milk is a perfect refreshing treat, mildly sweet and lightly creamy, perfectly flavored. Made with simple FRESH ingredients and loaded with fruity flavors, it's delicious and easy to make. It's also packed with immune-boosting Vitamin C and COLLAGEN, and completely ADDED-SUGAR-FREE.

Strawberry Milk made with fresh strawberries no syrup and no added sugars

[cmtoc_table_of_contents]

Dear all, let me introduce to you my latest obsession. STRAWBERRY MILK. Well, this fruity milk is not something that is completely new to me. I've been making and enjoying this delicious drink for many years.

It all started with simple banana milk a few years back. Quickly I discovered I can make fruity milk literally from any fresh fruit. So I began experimenting with berries: blueberries, raspberries, cherries... all were delicious and incredibly tasty. But strawberries turned out THE BEST. When in season, strawberries are delicious! Refreshing, sweet, and flavorful. Plus, they smell fantastic, making the strawberry milk just SUPERB!

This Strawberry Milk tastes really fantastic! Mildly sweet and silky. It's not thick and rich like classic Strawberry Smoothie. It has this light creamy texture, which makes this strawberry milk refreshing and perfect drink for summer.

Strawberry Milk is also an ideal base to mix all sorts of powdered supplements in - if you are using them. For me, it's a perfect base for my collagen supplement. Both collagen and strawberries are nutritious, making this fruity drink not only tasty but also good for our health too.

Strawberry Milk ingredients

I really wish I could blab here and count numerous ingredients, but I have nothing much to blab about. This recipe is quite simple and list of ingredients is surprisingly short. This pink beauty has ONLY 3 MAIN INGREDIENTS:

  • STRAWBERRIES: Strawberries are delightful little berry fruit. Low-calorie, sweet and juicy. But what’s making strawberries so dashing is not just sweetness but the fact that these little berries are loaded with vitamin C – powerful immune boosting and healthy skin antioxidant (1). Due to high vitamin C content and antioxidants level, strawberries have many health benefits - they reduce inflammation, keep our gut and heart healthy (2). Fresh strawberries are the best here, but frozen will work fine too. If possible, choose organic strawberries to avoid pesticides commonly used in conventional growing.
  • MILK / WATER
  • DATES: If you feel that the final product is not sweet enough for you, you can add some sweetener. To sweeten my morning Strawberry Milk I like to use dates. Dates are not only naturally sweet but also high in antioxidants (polyphenols) and fiber, and some essential minerals - like potassium and magnesium. If you don't like dates, you can substitute them with maple syrup or a bit of honey.

To boost up this strawberry milk with some more NUTRIENTS and flavor, I also added:

  • COLLAGEN POWDER
  • VANILLA EXTRACT

Now let me expand why I use and love collagen.

Benefits of taking collagen supplements

I'm using collagen for quite some time. It's a part of my daily healthy diet for years. Collagen is versatile, protein packed powder that you can add to smoothies, soups, snacks and drinks - like this Strawberry Milk. If you're new to collagen, here are some quick facts about collagen and benefits.

Collagen is the most abundant protein in your body. It's the major component of connective tissues in tendons, ligaments, skin and muscles. Human bodies create collagen naturally but over time, the production of this protein slows down. Since collagen is important for our joint health, healthy looking and youthful skin, healthy hair, and protecting our cartilage and bones, people look to supplements to increase their collagen intake.

Health benefits of collagen supplements include:

  • It’s nutritious. Two scoop of  collagen has around 20 g of protein which will give you nice energy boost.
  • It supports hair, skin and nail health. Collagen is known to support the elasticity of the skin and the overall appearance and strength of hair, nails, and skin.
  • Aids in improving the integrity of the gut lining. Leaky gut, or increased intestinal permeability is incredibly common and directly related to autoimmunity and digestion issues. The collagen helps to regenerate the gut linen.
  • Supports connective tissue and joint health. As a person ages, their joints start to break down. In particular, the spongy cartilage of the joints starts to wear away. Collagen supplements can help with restoring or preventing the deterioration of the cartilage in the joints. (3)
  • Prevents bone loss. Collagen makes up a significant amount of bone structure and helps keep the bones strong. As we age, collagen production slows and bones become weaker. This can lead to the development of conditions such as osteoporosis. Collagen supplements may help prevent the deterioration of bone density and strength. (4)

There are many types of collagen supplement. I use Naked Grass-Fed Bovine Collagen Peptides. Many conventional beef products from CAFO farms are not only inhumanely raised but are highly inflammatory. Grass-fed beef products are in balance with Omega 3’s, and are incredibly more humanely raised. The product I use is from pasture-raised and grass-fed bovine from Europe, hormone free and GMO free. Top notch!

How to make Strawberry Milk

Making this gorgeous strawberry drink is quite easy. No brainer, really. 5 minutes + 3 ingredients + a good blender and you'll have it ready.

  • Prepare and measure all ingredients using measuring cups.
  • If you're using fresh strawberries, don't forget to wash them.
  • Take a blender and add strawberries, pitted dates, milk, cold water, and vanilla extract. Add in 2 scoops of collagen powder and mix on high speed until you get even texture.
  • Taste strawberry milk and add additional sweetener if milk is not sweet enough. I recommend using few more dates, raw honey or maple syrup, or stevia. This is totally based on your preference.
  • If milk is too thick, add a little more liquid – ice cubes or water. Blend again until everything is well combined.
  • Transfer strawberry milk into a cup.
  • ADD TOPPINGS: I like bee pollen. You can choose toppings you like.
  • Serve immediately with a large straw.
  • Makes 1 glass that serves 1 person.

Tips for storing

  • Keep in sealed glass jar or bottle in the refrigerator for up to one day.
  • Stir or shake well before using.

Easy homemade Strawberry Milk recipe

You can buy strawberry milk in store, BUT why?! Making this delicious sweet drink at home is so easy. And much MUCH more HEALTHIER. Also, classic homemade strawberry milk is usually made with strawberry sirup (that is loaded with unnecessary SUGARS), but as you see, I used different approach here. I used FRESH strawberries, few dates and didn't cook anything.

Since it's made with fresh whole fruits (not syrup), it contains much more nutrients than classic homemade version. That's one more reason to give this strawberry milk recipe a try.

This pinky goodness is:

  • Mildly sweet, lightly creamy and incredibly delicious.
  • All-natural, made WITHOUT ADDED SUGARS. Yup, no added sugars in this pink beauty. Just natural present sugars from fruits.
  • Dairy-free.
  • Light and refreshing.
  • Loaded with immune-boosting VITAMIN C and fibers.
  • Packed with proteins from grass-fed collagen.

It's extremely healthy drink that is perfect for summer refreshment. A must try!

Enjoy!
