    Published: Jun 22, 2018 · Updated: Feb 6, 2019 by Natalie · 28 Comments

Creamy and absolutely delicious, Iced Coffee Protein Shake is perfect breakfast wake-me-up drink! It's nutrient-packed, satisfying, and super HEALTHY - made with only NATURAL real ingredients. NO store-bought protein powders. NO artificial sweeteners. Completely ADDED SUGAR-FREE.

Sugar-free Iced Coffee Protein Shake with superfoods hemp seeds

I'm a HUGE coffee lover but a few years back I've experienced some tummy problems so I had to stop drinking this favorite beverage for a while. My tummy now got better and just recently I started enjoying coffee again. Drink coffee in moderation - my doctor said. Yeah, right... like this is even possible. Who can resist fragrant coffee aroma? I'm barely follow up one cup every few days rule.

So lately I'm very creative and thinking up all these incredible ways to enjoy my favorite cup of coffee but at the same time looking out not to hurt my tummy again. Eat something before you have a coffee - my doctor also said. So I do just that. I eat my breakfast AND have my coffee in one sip.

Coffee Breakfast Smoothie has been my favorite smoothie... along with these amazing coffee smoothies.

But now since temperatures reached sky-high figures, this ice cold Coffee Protein Shake climbed up high on the throne of my favorite beverages in the morning.

To make this incredible, thick and creamy Iced Coffee Protein Shake I used all healthy NATURAL ingredients. That means NO store-bought protein powders. NO artificial sweeteners. Just delicious nutrient packed REAL FOODS.

As a base, I used soy milk. This plant-based milk alternative is an excellent source of PROTEIN, dietary fiber, and healthy fat. It's loaded with vitamin A, vitamin B-6 and B-12, vitamin D, and essential minerals like potassium, calcium, iron, and magnesium. All these nutrients help in maintaining a good health. That's what we all aiming for, right!?

The protein content in soy milk is comparable to that of cows, that's why I use soy milk when I aim for high-protein drinks / smoothies. Also, soy milk is naturally sweeter than for example almond milk that's why I didn't have to use any added sugar to sweeten this beauty up.

Frozen banana gave beautiful thick and creamy texture, and natural sweetness, so this Coffee Protein Shake is completely ADDED SUGAR-FREE and REFINED SUGAR-FREE. Perfect! Of course, you can add some maple syrup or honey.

To make this shake protein-packed natural way - without any store bought protein powders - I used ground hemp seeds. Hemp seeds are plant-based nutty flavored seed loaded with amino acids, fatty acids, protein, and many essential minerals. These small powerful seeds are also high in heart-healthy, anti-inflammatory Omega-3 fats and antioxidants, as well as.

The star of this of this shake is, of course, the COFFEE. For making this shake I used Nescafe espresso instant powder. I really LOVE its strong and flavorful taste - I am all into that lately. But since this shake is designed to make your morning better, you can use any coffee you prefer and like and use daily.

This coffee flavored protein shake is mildly sweet, full of amazing coffee flavor and so incredibly tasty. It's a coffee lover dream come true.

It's also very nutritious and filling. It will keep you full for a long LONG time. Plus this shake is super easy to whip up and pack to go if you're in a hurry. You thought you don't have time for breakfast AND coffee in the morning? Well, I hope I proved you wrong with this super-drink.

You just brew your coffee usual way and let it cool before you use it in this shake.

      Hi there!
Unfortunately I can't eat bananas. Possible without it or any replacement? :)

Protein powder or handful of soaked cashews - they will both give creaminess. Also you can use cashew butter.
