Hi! Thanks so much for stopping by and taking a few moments to learn a bit more about me. My name is Natalie, and I come from Croatia, a small Mediterranean country placed on Adriatic Sea coast. I’m healthy foodie with a passion for nutrition and eating clean, healthy food.
With healthy eating and lifestyle change, I’ve lost over 100+ pounds. Now I share my healthy recipes and tips about healthy lifestyle, helping and motivating others to change their lifes too. And here’s my story 😉
My weight loss story
In summer 2014. I was literally on an edge, emotionally and physically. My stressful job, unhealthy lifestyle and unhealthy eating habits led me to total disaster. I ended up obese, unhappy and physically sick. I needed to change my life, fast or I’ll end up in a hospital. So I started eating whole foods and give up almost all the meat, added sugars, anything processed which was a pretty drastic change. I totally understand how daunting the idea of changing your diet so radically is, but for me, that was the only way to get my life back.
As I started eating healthy, in just six months, I restored my energy. Also, I have begun losing weight which restored back my confidence. In one year, just with healthy clean eating and moderate exercise, I lost 83 pounds (38 kg). To this day, I have lost more than 100 pounds (50 kg). But it’s not really about losing that weight, it’s about being healthy. This new healthy lifestyle healed me.

My healthy journey
I have learned so much on this healthy journey and I want to share all of this information with you. That’s why I started writing this blog. But maybe more than anything I wish to show you that healthy food is delicious. Blog posts are a mix of recipes, my personal experiences and helpful posts on a range of issues and themes around healthy living.
Healthy eating is absolutely not about dieting and starvation, It’s about embracing a healthy way of life.
Meals I prepare are very classic type recipes that I tweak to include more healthy ingredients, reduce fat or use better fats and sugar alternatives, to improve the nutritional value of my meals without compromising the taste. In most of my posts you will find info about nutritional benefits of the ingredients included in recipes. I write all that to encourage you to want to learn more about the nutritional value of the food you are eating, to be informed and think about what you eat.
I love photography. I use to practice amateur photography many years ago while I was still in college – analog camera, darkroom, the smell of chemicals – sweet memories. Then after graduation, I started to pursue my business career and I suppress my passion, telling myself I don’t have time for that anymore. And I didn’t, until this blog, until now. This blog enabled me to revive my passion for photography and to find new love – food photography.
