Motivation Monday #14

Happy Monday peeps !!!

Last week I skipped my Motivation Monday post because I talked about seasonal fruits and veggies in my new “What’s in season: JUNE” post. But today I’m again here, to motivate you and shake you a bit … just in case you’re slacking. πŸ˜‰ Monday is a great day to START the change or to push harder and set new goals. It’s the day when everything is possible.

But first… How was your weekend guys? Have you recharged your batteries? I’m super charged and totally pumped up for a new week. My weekend was GREAT. I didn’t work a lot – yay! I had a lot of fun – I needed that. I attended great cheese party – sorry I have no pictures but believe me, it was a great party. And I finished my weekend with relaxed family dinner – this time at my mother-in-law’s place. I even got a basket full of sour cherries and redcurrants. I’ll be making something sweet for you guys this week. πŸ˜‰

Ok, so today I decided to share one of my victory moments with you guys. I’m gonna show off a little if that’s ok. It’s really a big deal to me, and maybe it will inspire you a bit too.

Those who follow me know that I’ve been running for a quite some time now. Running is actually what’s keeping me sane those days. I’m just the beginner. But every time I try to be better. With each training, I push myself further.

So last week I did my personal best. On Friday I ran my first 2.9 miles (4.7 km). That’s almost a 3 miles! WoohOoo! πŸ˜€ Ok, so some may say, it’s not something to brag about. It’s ONLY “almost a 3 miles”, BUT for me, it’s a big success. Because three weeks ago I could not go half of that.

Every time I get on that road, it’s hard for me. It’s like every time is a new beginning for me. And then I start to run… my legs are heavy, my heart is pumping like crazy, my lungs wants to explode… my brain is screaming CAN’T DO IT! But then I PUSH! I start to remember the reasons why I’m doing this and the feelings I have after I finish my training. And I just keep running. I quiet that screaming “can’t do it” voice and focus on my goal. That’s when everything starts to be easy. My legs just keep going. My heart is in rhythm with my breathing… it’s just me and that road. I could then run for miles and miles. My other voice overpowers, telling me that I’m strong and I can do anything.

It was the same when I started eating healthy and with my weight loss. There was a numerous moment when I doubted myself. I thought I’d give up. I thought that I’m weak. BUT I shook off these thoughts. I found the power in me and pushed myself over that “I can’t do it” boundary. I already know what giving up feels up. This time I wanted THAT change. I wanted to see what will happen if I DON’T GIVE UP!

So when you think it’s hard, and you don’t have the power, when you want to give up… just remember why you started.

What kind of person you want to be tomorrow – HEALTHY AND HAPPY!

How do you want to feel – GOOD ABOUT YOURSELF AND SATISFIED!

Everyday strive to be a better version of yourself. Push yourself. Believe in yourself. When you’ll achieve your goals?!… It doesn’t really matter. Speed isn’t that important. DIRECTION is.
It doesn’t matter how slow you go as long as you DON’T STOP.

Just don’t stop!

Until next Monday… Hugs and kisses.

Xoxo,
